"Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray."
(Proverbs 22:6)
Cannon's Camp Ground United Methodist Church is considered a "child-friendly" church in addition to all of its other ministry opportunities. We have been called by God to provide ministry to all children, regardless of age, race, gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity, nationality, or religion. When we baptize children we promise to surround the children "with a community of love and forgiveness, that they may grow in their service to others. We will pray for them, that they may be true disciples who walk in the way that leads to life."
VISION STATEMENT
The vision of children's ministry is to enable all children in our church and community to enter into a loving relationship with Jesus Christ, and to become disciples of Jesus Christ. It is our vision that children will be ministered to without hesitation and with unconditional love.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of children's ministry is to provide a safe and loving environment for all children throughout their journeys of faith, helping them transition from childhood into adulthood, and to help them become disciples of Jesus Christ.
Children are exposed to the love of Christ through Prayer, Christian Education, Missions, Nurture, and Fellowship. We are blessed to have loving adults who teach children's Sunday School, help lead the Sunday afternoon ministry (Kids of the Kingdom), coach basketball teams, teach music, and more.

Special Mission Projects:
Our children work hard in raising funds and awareness with various missions and service projects. They have their own walk-a-thon for the MS Society and the Alzheimer's Association, dedicating the walks to members of our church who are affected by Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's. They have raised more that $1000.00 for these two organizations over the last year. They also support ARCH ministries, the Bethlehem Center, the Children's Shelter, and many more local missions. They send care packages to college students, cards to shut-ins, gift bags to local shelters and nursing homes, and more.
